How does FIT Therapy Technology work?

The technology against pain without contraindications

Thanks to the application of FIT Therapy products at the point of pain, it is possible to alleviate musculoskeletal discomfort and intervene in functional recovery processes on muscle tissue affected by contractures and inflammation.

There is no sensory perception of the technology when applying and/or wearing it, as it does not heat (the technology reflects non-heating FIRs). By working on the microcirculation and increasing metabolic exchanges at the cellular level, it has an antalgic and anti-inflammatory effect that has been approved by several scientific studies and witnessed by those who use it.

How does FIT Therapy Technology work?

Reflectance

FIT Therapy devices work through a proprietary technology that does not rely on the release of substances or heat, but on the ability of the materials, of which it is made, to return back a selected part of the infrared rays, the Far Infrared Rays (FIRs). Normally, FIRs emitted by the human body are dissipated into the environment, but thanks to FIT Therapy technology, these waves are reflected. Infrared rays have a wavelength that starts at about 800 nm (0.8 μm) and extends into the 4-21 μm range.

Our devices operate at wavelengths between 4 and 21 μm in the far-infrared range, with a higher concentration at 11 μm.

Function

Each FIT Therapy device acts as a ‘mirror’. This biophysical principle of reflectance provides two benefits that lead to the resolution of pain.

On the one hand we have the improvement of microcirculation and on the other the breaking up of water clusters, which create larger superstructures in situations of inflammation by generating ‘clutter’, partly breaking them up allowing the inflammation to resolve.

CLUSTERs

The rays reflected by Fit Therapy devices are able to penetrate the tissues down to the muscle fascias, going to promote metabolic exchanges at the cellular level. The increase in metabolic exchange at the cellular level is based on the fact that water, as a cellular biological solvent, is involved in the body’s transport processes. Due to their dipolar properties, water molecules in solution tend to build organised superstructures, called ‘clusters’, which can slow down cellular exchange processes: this leads to an alteration of cellular bioelectric function, a slowing down of nourishment and disposal processes.

FIRs are capable of exerting a fragmentation of the larger aggregates of water molecules (water clusters), the substance of which the body is largely made up, that surround and permeate the cells of our body.

Fragmentation enables cells, which are in an inflammatory state, to accelerate the exchange of nutrients and waste substances, allowing a faster return to their original, non-inflamed state. This promotes cellular homeostasis by restoring the bioelectric functions of cell membranes, mitochondria and the various molecular pathways involved in ROS generation, ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production and NO synthesis.

INCREASED MICROCIRCULATION AND DECREASED TREATMENT TIME
The technology also involves increasing the flow of blood microcirculation, thus further enhancing metabolic exchange; promoting the exchange of oxygen from circulating blood to body tissues.

This helps, firstly, a better oxygenation of the tissue and also stimulates the processes of disposal and reduction of the inflammatory state.

STUDY BY CAPILLAROSCOPY TECHNIQUE

A study was conducted by Dr. F. Battistella and Dr. Scarpellini at the Magenta Hospital, using capillaroscopy, to investigate a possible increase in blood microcirculation. In particular, a FIT Therapy patch was applied to the forearm and then the speed of the blood microcirculation was observed under the microscope placed on the subungual bed.

As can be seen in the video, marking a red blood cell flowing inside the capillary reveals a 32.95 % increase in blood microcirculation. This shows that the action of the FIT Therapy patch is not only limited to the area of application, but also involves peripheral areas such as the subungual bed in this case.

Resolution of inflammation and pain

The application of FIT Therapy technology has demonstrated through in vitro studies a reduction in pro-inflammatory molecules and those causing oxidative stress; inducing cellular protection from inflammatory damage and oxidative stress. On a clinical level, this was seen with a reduction in pain that led to an improvement in lifestyle. In addition, the increase in blood microcirculation, which further promotes the metabolic exchanges necessary for the resolution of the inflammatory state, allows the healing process to be facilitated.
